This deal between T-Mobile and ETECSA (Cuba's telecommunciations company) will allow T-Mobile data roaming, voice and text for vistiors in Cuba and make it easier for people in the U.S. to keep in touch with friends, family, crew members, who ever, in Cuba. CubaNetwork is America's first multi-platform network dedicated to filming and capturing the magic of Cuban culture. RTV Comerical of Cuba (the U.S.'s partner for the network) has chosen Vubiquity as their provider to supply content prep (including encoding and delivery), translations/subtitles to English or Spanish depending on location and first time development of metadata. As well as giving the U.S. an inside look at the culture, mystique and exotic energy of Cuba, CubaNetwork will also be co-producing content for Americans interested in this pivitol moment in U.S.-Cuban history. CubaNetwork plans to open an English-language production studio in Havana in addition to it's offices in Hollwood, this Havana based studio will co-produce a daily-live show with political, lifestyle, music and local culture news. The CubanNetwork will air in the U.S. digitally, easily accessable on multiple online platforms including their app with programs already made by Cubans and co-produced by Cuban and U.S. filmmakers, as well as new bilingual content co-produced by Cuban and U.S. filmmakers.
